Lissa lives in the leafy outskirts of Melbourne, where she divides her time between writing, family history research, and long walks with her cavoodle, Ruby. 

A handful of trips to Tasmania left her captivated by its wild coastlines and its complicated convict past, the layered histories that most visitors only skim past on their way to the next lookout. That fascination, combined with years spent digging through her own family's genealogy, became the seed for The Thornhaven Mysteries, her debut series. 

When she isn't writing, you'll most likely find her out walking with Ruby, letting the next plot twist work itself out one step at a time.
